Here's a little background on our family...

Kevin and I met at Charleston Southern University where we both graduated - Kevin in 2003 with a B.A. in Youth Ministry and I followed in 2004 with a B.S. in Psychology. We were married May 8, 2004 and spent out first year of married life in Charleston where he was a youth pastor and I worked as a therapist for children with autism. A year later, Kevin decided to pursue a Master's of Divinity and we moved to Wake Forest, NC where he attends Southeastern Seminary and works for an electric supply company. I spent our first 2 years here working again as an ABA Therapist and later as a nanny. We were thrilled to find out we were expecting our first child on New Year's Eve of 2006! It was a complete surprise for us, but we couldn't have been happier to welcome Katherine Elizabeth Lott (Kate) into the world on August 22, 2007! Since then Kevin has shouldered full time work, full time grad school, and full time husband and father so that I can stay home with our little one. I definitely have an amazing husband! Our story wouldn't be complete without praising the Lord's faithfulness to our family in the 4 years we have been married and especially since the birth of our daughter. In so many different ways and always at the perfect moment, He has provided exactly what we've needed and on several occasions even more than we've needed. We also experienced His faithfulness in our lives when our daughter became sick at 2 weeks old and began having seizures at 3 weeks. After a week in the hospital and tests and doctor's appointments that seemed unending, we were told at 3 months that she has sustained a small amount of permanent brain damage from the seizures and that her development could be affected. We can't praise the Lord enough for being able to say that at 9 months, Kate is completely off her seizure medications and developing exactly as she should!! She is such testimony to the Lord's goodness and a joy for us and we couldn't have been more excited to find out that in January she will become a big sister! We just ask for your prayers for a safe pregnancy and for energy and endurance during this time!
